In time for the upcoming 52nd edition of Vinitaly, the most important wine trade show of the year, Follador will present a new video on the Gianfranco Follador Method. The video provides images which are the best way to translate the innovative process and the steps included in this exclusive production procedure.
The video opens where the wine begins, with evocative images of our vineyards. Then the viewer is taken on the grapes’ journey through the various technical steps that mark the wine making process. After that, winemaker Francesca Follador proudly describes the method devised by her father from the setting inside the company’s vast and welcoming tasting room.
Francesca briefly describes the phases of the process, from the processing of the crushed grapes in a low temperature environment to cryo-maceration, which gives added value to the wine because it extrapolates the varietal properties from the skins- enhancing the citrus and floral notes. The video comes to a close with a brief discussion of the refinement processes, which make the perlage more fine and persistent in the face of an exquisite and delicate taste.
As with everything at Follador, this video is the result of familial teamwork, carefully coordinated by Cristina Follador, Sales and Marketing Director of the company.
