As we wind down one year and prepare to embrace the next, it is a time to take a look back. 2014 was an intense and important year for us as we saw numerous exciting challenges which led us to the flattering discovery that we have built a worldwide team with great spirit, deep commitment, and infinite passion.
First, our Instagram #Folladorat5 contest ended with great success in October and created a host of enthusiastic Follador fans, fans of photography, and creativity through a social network of original shots inspired by our bubbles. It was exciting every month to see how many people shared in capturing their fun, personal moments uncorking a bottle of Follador.
In October at the Salon TWFA World Exhibition in Canes Travel Retail we officially presented our new image collection, the second set of illustrated gift cylinders created exclusively for the range of Vintage Prosecco. The prestigious cartons were designed by Gary Redford and portray the perfect combination of people, place, conviviality, and sophistication of the highest standard.
We enthusiastically announced a new product; the birth of Grappa Prosecco Superiore Follador, a collaboration with Distillerie Francoli, one of the best Italian companies in the spirits sector. It is a company with a long tradition we recognized right away as they are pursuing the same objective: the highest quality.
In addition to participating in various national high level events of art, fashion, and gourmet (like the most recent edition of the Salotti del Gusto where Follador was selected to represent the best of DOCG Prosecco) we continue our international presence through collaboration with the National Gallery in London.
This year Follador has been the official Prosecco for exhibitions such as “Building the Picture” on the role of architecture in the paintings of the Italian Renaissance, and now through January 18, 2015, the exhibition “The Late Works” dedicated to the largest Dutch Golden Age master, Rembrandt.
A theme that is always important, but particularly in the pre-Christmas period is the involvement of Follador in the humanitarian field, as shown by our renewed partnership with the Fondazione Vialli and Mauro presided over by Gianluca Vialli. For the holiday season Follador opted to be part of the foundation’s Holiday gift catalogue with two product packaging options; the proceeds of which will go toward the fund raising efforts for treatment of ALS.
We would like to thank those who throughout the year have continued to show us confidence and we extend to each of them and their families our best wishes for Happy Holidays and a Wonderful New Year! Arrivederci in 2015!
2020 HARVEST – AN EXCELLENT VINTAGE
The quality of the grapes harvested is excellent; the climate was lenient and favorable, as evidenced by the fragrant bouquet of the musts, also good from an analytical point of view. 2020 was a particular and difficult year in many regards, but this magnificent harvest rewards us and gives us optimism for the future.
