On September 22, in the prestigious setting of the “Golf Club Royal Park I Roveri” Fiano (TO), the seventeenth edition of the “Pro Am of Hope” took place. It is a charity golf tournament in support of the Piedmont Foundation for Cancer Research. Playing on the greens were as many as 22 professionals, including eight players fresh from the Italian Open. Daniel Vancsik, the winner of the Open in 2009 was also there. The VIP grandstand hosted among others Marco Berry and former Miss Italy Cristina Chiabotto, who is also a spokesperson for the Foundation and guest of honor.
The fundraising achieved great success resulting in 120,000 Euros for the purchase of the latest equipment for diagnostic endoscopy. Since 1998, the debut year of the initiative, a total of 2.5 million has been collected for the Institute in Candiolo (TO), a cancer center equipped with advanced equipment and also active in research. Importantly, the Institute of Candiolo is the only example in Italy of a structure created without the intervention of the State, but exclusively through donations from individuals, organizations, institutions, companies and foundations.
The event was brightened by prosecco Follador, the official supplier of wines for the event: the friendship and solidarity are valuesthat we love to share.
2020 HARVEST – AN EXCELLENT VINTAGE
The quality of the grapes harvested is excellent; the climate was lenient and favorable, as evidenced by the fragrant bouquet of the musts, also good from an analytical point of view. 2020 was a particular and difficult year in many regards, but this magnificent harvest rewards us and gives us optimism for the future.
