PROSECCO: A SUPERIOR HARVEST

As was predicted with the weather conditions of this past summer and pre-harvest forecasts, the harvest of 2015 was marked by the singular quality of the grapes.

Francesca Follador, the winemaker of the company confirms, “This year especially, the effectiveness of cryo-maceration gave the best results thanks to the excellent quality of the grapes. This winemaking process which we always apply allows us to extract the the best properties from the grapes themselves before pressing them, leaving the juice to macerate on the skins for about 12 hours. The harvest in 2015, in particular, proved to be exalted and allowed us to obtain a product rich in aromas, with an intensely fragrant floral bouquet. We can truly say with great satisfaction that we have obtained a true grape juice, a sublime result which will be recognized in our whole range of sparkling and frizzanti wines for even the most discerning palate.”

Gianfranco Follador was one of the pioneers of cold-masceration of grapes for Prosecco, and Follador is among the few companies that still continue with this process of winemaking. Together with the most modern equipment the excellence and peculiarity of the Superiore Territory is brought to the fore.

2020 HARVEST – AN EXCELLENT VINTAGE

The quality of the grapes harvested is excellent; the climate was lenient and favorable, as evidenced by the fragrant bouquet of the musts, also good from an analytical point of view. 2020 was a particular and difficult year in many regards, but this magnificent harvest rewards us and gives us optimism for the future.
