The Prosecco of “Inventing Impressionism”

Follador is pleased to announce it is the 2015 official prosecco of The National Gallery starting with the London’s opening reception for “Inventing Impressionism,” an exhibit featuring 85 masterpieces by artists championed by the art dealer Paul Durant-Ruel.

It was he who recognized the talent and potential of a new young group of artists in the early 1870’s including Monet, Degas, Manet, Renoir, Pissaro, and Sisley. He took a chance with these artists and their new style of painting, eventually helping to launch the movement originally derided as “Impressionism” Monet himself credits Durant-Ruel saying: “Without him we wouldn’t have survived.”

The opening reception will be March 2nd. 250 guests will include lenders to the exhibition, donors, patrons, and other high profile figures. The exhibition itself will run from March 3rd through May 31st in the Sainsbury Wing.
